Halloween Season = Playtime

We’re just getting to the end of a looooog Halloween -time. Halloween has been becoming a bigger & bigger holiday over the years, evolving  into a whole Halloween season these days.  
Why is this? Maybe it’s because Halloween is the only holiday where adults are given permission to play. You can see this playfulness in everything from the DIY lawn decor to elaborate adult halloween costumes. It’s a culturally sanctioned chance to get silly–something we might really need this year. 
Play is an important part of life and something that many of us don’t get enough of. Halloween isn’t just as a silly holiday with candy, but as a vital cultural safety valve for letting off steam.  Something we have all needed this year!
