Will mini-fest’s be the new trend?

This weekend Austin is having the first version of the “Holiday
Hootenanny,” which is billed as a “mini-fest”
What makes it unusual is the holiday timing, as well as the addition
of things like ornament-making to the activities. (Rumor has it that The Yerba Mate stand will have people writing down what they were grateful for on felt leaves, then making a wreath out of them!)
The venue can fit around 2500.  It’s small, it’s chill, and maybe it’s
the start of a new kind of trend?

It’s a production of Resound presents (who do the Levitation and
Austin Psych Fest ) events in Austin and in France, as well as the
local NPR station KUTX.

We will see if this is the start of a special new something!
